Rabitat of the Craftsmen

Rabitat of the Craftsmen is an association with nonlucrative goal created on December 20th, 1994. The purpose of it is principal the improvement of the standard of living of the craftsmen.
It gathers about thirty men and women who work in various artisanal fields: embroidery, weaving, leather working. One of the wishes of Rabitat is to train the craftsmen with the trades in the process of disappearance in order to develop the knowledge to make traditional Morrocan. The products manufactured with this knowledge to make are however modern of share their form, their color, etc and are adapted at the request of the customers.
Objectives of association:
1. Lutes against illiteracy.
2. Safeguard of the artisanal trades threatened of disappearance.
3. The organization of the exposures of the artisanal products.
4. The offer of the sanitary services and distraction in favor as of craftsmen and their children.
5. Formation for training.
6. Formation in certain trades in the process of disappearance.
7. Organization of the excursions and exits of discovery.
8. Elimination of illiteracy in favor as of craftsmen, of the women of hearth and good.
Actions of association:
The actions of association relate to especially the training of the men and the women:
- Elimination of illiteracy.
- Training of a trade.
- Initiation with data processing.
Approximately 60 women received a formation given by moderators of the French Institute.
Moreover education of the children is also very important for association: it accommodates more 80 children between 3 and 6 years. Lastly, Rabitat works for the realization of social, medical works and of distractions in favor as of craftsmen and their children.
Rabitat production of craftsmen:
- Coupons+ Cushions+ Scarves+ Poufs and Handbag woven in wire of silk and/or wool in multicoloured stripes.
- Slippers (Babouches) and leather Sandals of (Goat/Sheep) bent with the hand, Model: Woman/Man.
